Why You Want A Water Filter

Here are some plain hard facts our the water we drink everyday.

Over 80% of our body is made up of water and we drink at least 8 glasses of this or some type of fluid to maintain that percentage of liquid in our bodies daily.

The regular tap faucet water we consume has many chemicals and depending on where you live those chemicals can vary. There are over two thousand different types of contaminants used in varying amounts all over the U.S. and many of these are know to cause cancer and other diseases.

Most people need to become educated about the water they do consume and also be aware of their options. Because of these concerns more and more of the human population is demanding clean water that is free of impurities.

That is why there has been such a demand for water filters.

Not only the basic drinking H2O which can be acquired from a hand held pitcher or the faucet attachment, but people are getting under sink, refrigerator, whole house, laundry, and more different types of filters.

Some of these can be sand based others carbon and some use a reverse osmosis.

The carbon filters are activated and the cartridge they come with is replaceable after a number of gallons of water pass through it. Many of these are more or less dense and will remove a different variety of pesticides, chlorine and more.

You can usually count on changing your filter every 3 months up to every 6 months to replace the filter.

These are easy to find and replace in local discount stores.

The reverse osmosis passes the water through a filter to remove the bigger particles of contaminants and then sends it through a membrane type of film at a high pressure to remove the remaining particles.

Either way you choose you are still deciding on healthy water to give you and your family some peace of mind.
